The Fire House was one of the first permanent buildings in Williamsburg, and it is shown clearly in the architecture - redbrick, squat and ugly, with a hint of civic duty and a tall training tower.
The modern addition of large garages to house the fire engines are all open and empty, apart from one which houses a wheel-less fire truck, and another which strictly speaking doesn't contain anything, as the fire truck is crashed just outside of the bay.
Inside, there is general chaos as with most of the city - the offices, duty rooms, equipment stores and bunkrooms have mostly been ransacked for anything of use, but there are still items left by those scavengers too overloaded to carry anything else.
The character of the building seems easily defendable, and there are rumours about a survivor group living within its narrow halls, but given how difficult Stadler Row is to traverse, it's difficult to prove.
