The Botanical Cafe is situated atop one of the slightly higher, sloping lawns - a paved walkway runs to it from the East-West and North-South paths, and lead up the stone steps to a wide, mosaicced food court with picnic benches dotted around seemingly haphazardly - some smashed and broken now.
The odd empty food packet is lifted by occasional gusts of wind, some pressed to the hastily barricaded windows and doors by its force. Inside, there is food strewn over the surfaces - mostly empty, but a couple of the snack machines have been smashed open and their spewed contents left untouched, as if their assailants had been disturbed mid-forage.
In the storage area out back there could well be some food for any enterprising scavengers, but noise travels far in the park - and the local Infected are renowned for their particular brand of stopping any would-be trespassers.
