When you come to creating a character, you'll need to choose a profession and class for him/her. Each are listed below, with strengths and weaknesses listed with it. If your character requires an additional strength, you'll need to explain how + why your character has it. This'll keep it realistic, after all, we don't want every character to be a sharpshooter now, do we?
None of the strengths come with an actual +point to any sort of stat system, these are all purely used within Roleplay.
- Health Workers
The base class comes with a good knowledge in medical aid. This'll help you surviving longer, as well as help those around you survive longer.
Doctor / Surgeon - This subclass gives your character knowledge of fixing major wounds. It'll mean you can sew up those nasty gashes, and remove dead shrapnel, among other gruesome injuries.
Paramedic - This subclass is a mobile medical class. Doctors will probably need a table and tools to help they dying, where as you'll be able to keep people from dying on the move. You'll not have a vast knowledge of anything other than keeping your 'customer' alive.
Dentist (or any other professional)- This subclass will keep you fixing teeth/eyes/ears (depending on profession). That's pretty much all you're good for. But there are lots of people in Williamsburg who'll need you.
Inventory bonus = Medical Pack + equipment. Makeshift weapon, (IE, Scalpel, Bar, Bat.) - Construction/Engineer/Mechanics
The base class will give you a moderately high knowledge of building repair + fortification. It'll help you sort out a HQ for you and your survivor buddies.
Builder - As a sub-class, you'll get a far stronger + studier character. That's pretty much it.
Engineer/Mechanics - As a sub-class, you'll keep any cars / buses moving. You'll also the ones looking after generators.
Inventory bonus = Industrial Weapon, protective gear. - Consumer
As a baseclass, the Consumer is a day-to-day average joe. They know the best stores to loot.
Student - This is only a sub-class title. You don't get many strengths, since you're trained in little more than drinking illegally, reading crap and trying to get laid. Some of the geeks out there will be able to help, but the rest of you are meat shields.
Office Worker - This is only a sub-class title.
Public Driver - This is only a sub-class title. Has better knowledge of the city than most.
Shop assistant - This is only a sub-class title.
Technicians - This is only a sub-class title. (Technician falls under IT Support, Appliance Maintenance, Public Maintenance etc.) Inventory bonus = Tool of the trade (IE Wrench)
Inventory bonus = Makeshift weapon (IE, Sports equipment), Mobile Phone / Laptop. - Police Officers / Security Guard
Patrol Officer - As a subclass, the Patrol Officer has training in Handguns, and can use shotguns.
Inventory bonus = Stab-vest, Handgun with limited ammunition.
Detective - As a subclass, the Detective has advanced training with Handguns aswell as basic assault rifle training.
Inventory bonus = Handgun with high amounts of ammunition, mobile phone.
Armed Response Unit(SWAT) - As a subclass, the ARU comes with advanced firearm training, aswell as tactical and specialized movement training. Short of a soldier, this is the most dangerous class.
Inventory bonus = Handgun with limited ammunition. Does not start with a rifle/shotgun/sniper rifle.
Public Guard - As a subclass, the Public Guards are not directly related to the Police, but have basic training with Tazer guns and batons.
Inventory bonus = Tazer, baton and mobile phone.
