Before the Outbreak, La Petit Foie was becoming well known on the Williamsburg's elite's "luncheon circuit", particular praise being bestowed upon the rustic charm of the place, and the view of the Botanics out the front windows.
Now, however, the view is somewhat stilted by the tables used as impromptu barricades where the glass has been smashed out - and the gaping holes in these give some idea of the success of this endeavour. There are prominent bloodstains on the floors and walls, a distinct stench of rot and decay from the once-fresh foods in the kitchens and refrigerators, and the several corpses.
While the fruits, vegetables and meats are beyond rescuing without a doubt, the cans and tins that have not been already sought out by scavengers are essential for survival, and there may even be a filleting knife or something lying around.....
