So you've joined the forum, but now you want to join the Undead-hunting ranks of Williamsburg?
It's not as hard as the application probably makes out.
Firstly, you'll need to read through the class-list and establish what low life you were BEFORE the Quarantine, and what skills will carry over to aid you in the great survival.
You'll need to choose a base-class (EG Police Officer) then a sub-class (EG Patrol Man).
The Base Class determines your overall profession. It'll give you a few mandatory skills that all members of that profession would have, as well as immeadiate starting access to certain weapons / items in your character's inventory.
The Sub-Class determines a far more specific role that your character played within his/her profession. It'll give you more strengths in specific areas.
An example would be;
Base-Class - Health Worker
Sub-Class - Surgeon
You'll have a good knowledge of Medical Aid from the Base-Class, but your Sub-Class gives you advanced knowledge in treating major wounds like removing shrapnel from touchy areas.
Alright, so you have your Class + Sub-Class. The rest is pretty standard stuff. Fill in the rest of the application with your appearance, history, sex etc, but will have to be detailed - no bare bones characters.
About inventory; Each class has a set inventory that they'll start with. You can add two more items of your choice (within reason) before you start and pick up further items through roleplay. Your character is only able to carry six items at a time.
When you've applied + been accepted, you'll need to add a mini-profile to your Signature (Profile, scroll down to the signature text box.) The template is listed within the main profile template. This basically allows others to check your profession + class at a glance, as well as available inventory.
That's it. Not so hard when you know how...
Good luck out there. Remember to run during the daylight and keep silent in the dark - they'll never catch you that way...
